*** HIGH ATTENDANCE SUNDAY School has been moved to May 5, 2019. We will meet at 8:30 am for breakfast for everyone, go to our Sunday School classes at 9:30 am and Morning Worship will begin at 10:45. We have a goal of having no less than 60 in attendance for this Sunday in Sunday School. Contact your friends, family and neighbors and bring them on May 5th. They might just realize they like it and will continue to come to learn more about our God.

*** Pastor James has called monthly ministry (committee) meetings for the first Sunday of each month after the morning worship service.  This is the time to  share with other committee members about what we are doing and to be on the same page about happenings in the church life.  A representative (or more) from each elected how each committee needs to be present at these meetings to report
*** We are collecting school supplies each month for the “Back to School” event we have in July. TheApril tems to bring are pens, pencils and erasers. You may place these items in the container in the church foyer.   This collection is to allow us to have all the items we need to give to the children who attend VBS s they can be ready to go
*** TOUCH TUESDAY is every Tuesday night at 6:30 pm. This is the time to visit those who have visited our services and those who haven’t been here for a while. Contact Pastor James or Jerald Holcomb to let him know you want to be a part of this very important ministry.
*** ATTENTION!!!! The Children’s Ministry is in need of help during the morning worship time. Tammy Auxier has put a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for help each Sunday until the end of October. Also a sign up sheet for help with snacks/drinks for the children during Children’s Church. This is such an important ministry for the children and will be a big help for Tammy. She will have all the sessions prepared for each Sunday. PLEASE PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER HELPING WITH THIS VERY IMPORTANT PART OF OUR CHURCH MINISTRY.
*** The 8th Street Drop In Ministry is an ongoing ministry for our church. There are papers on the table in the church foyer listing items needed for this ministry and a box/table to put your donations in/on. In this way we can share items we will never use again with folks who really need them.
*** It’s time to begin accumulating items for the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to be sent off in November 2019. The April items to bring are combs, hairbrushes, hair clips, girls jewelry or misc. You may place these items in the box in the church foyer for Operation Christmas Child.
*** NOTE :The W.M.U. would like to thank everyone for their donations toward Operation Christmas Child, they were able to send 53 generously filled shoe boxes to needy kids around the world. They will begin in January to collect items for next year. Thanks again.
REMEMBER: We will continue to save Best Choice labels to be turned in to the church office or give them to Shirley McKnight, with this money going to missions.
