Hilltop News & Events

*** July 9-13 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be Sunday—Thursday nights, with a kick off on Saturday, July 8th and Family Night on Friday, July 14th. We will have a meal beginning at 5:00pm each night, Sunday—Thursday with the Bible School from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Please let Leesa Kerns know where you would like to work during this time.
***July 29th – Come join us for our monthly Men’s Breakfast/Bible Study at 8:00am in the Fellowship Hall to study God’s word. This will be a great time to learn about how God desires the men to live their lives. This will also be a great fellowship among the men and this will only be about one hour or so each Saturday morning, leaving plenty of time to do all the things needed to be done at home. Plan to be a part of this ministry effort.
***August 21st The SOLAR ECLIPSE EVENT come join us in the church parking lot for St. Joseph is one of the very best places to watch this happen. You are welcome to come to the church parking lot to watch this event. We have a few special glasses for those interested in safely watching the eclipse.

Pastor James has called monthly ministry (committee) meetings for the second Sunday of each month after the morning worship service.  This is the time to  share with other committee members about what we are doing and to be on the same page about happenings in the church life.  A representative (or more) from each elected how each committee needs to be present at these meetings to report
ATTENTION!!!! The Children’s Ministry is in need of help during the morning worship time. Tammy Auxier has put a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board for help each Sunday until the end of October. Also a sign up sheet for help with snacks/drinks for the children during Children’s Church. This is such an important ministry for the children and will be a big help for Tammy. She will have all the sessions prepared for each Sunday. PLEASE PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER HELPING WITH THIS VERY IMPORTANT PART OF OUR CHURCH MINISTRY.
NOTE :The W.M.U. ladies are NOT collecting the aluminum cans anymore due to the lack of someone to take them to  recycling. Also the library can NOT take anymore donations of books since they have run out of room to shelve them.  Many thanks for the donations to each of these ministries.
REMEMBERWe will continue to save Best Choice labels to be turned in to the church office or give them to Shirley McKnight, with this money going to missions.
